Frequently asked questions

Can a blurry QR code still be read?
Often yes. As long as the module edges haven't fully dissolved, sharpening plus contrast and threshold correction frequently brings the code back. With extreme blur the geometry is lost for good.
What should I do with a shaky photo?
Upload the most front-facing, well-lit photo you can. Semacode also tries an upscaled version in case the original is too small or soft to decode.
Do I need to install an app?
No. Everything runs right in your browser on your device – no app, no account, and instant repair is free.
